Gambling

Gambling is always a safer bet to the house than to yourself, however, some games give you better return than others. Craps, for example, can be played conservatively to give you fifty-fifty odds. All things considered in gambling, fifty-fifty odds are not too bad. So let’s take a look at how to play craps conservatively.

Bet on the Sixes and Eights

The sixes and the eights have the highest likelihood of showing up. Because there are more ways to roll a six than a four, for example, there is a higher chance a six will be rolled than a four. Let’s break that down: A four can be rolled one of two ways (one and three, two and two) and a six can be rolled three different ways (one and five, two and four, three and three). Therefore, a six is more likely to be rolled than a four. This can be broken down for all of the numbers in the playing field to support the math behind your best bet being a six or eight.

Bet in Favor of Your Shooter

When a new shooter is throwing, it is best to bet on the pass line. This means you are betting in favor or your shooter, hoping she will throw a 7 or 11 and not a 2, 3 or 12. If she does toss a 7 or 11, pass line wins. If she throws a 2, 3 or 12, you lose. However, if she rolls any other number, the bet is retained and further bets can be placed. Betting on the don’t pass bet is not recommended because it intimidates other players (some players believe certain actions can make a roller or even the table unlucky).

That is all you need to know to conservatively bet on craps. Betting on the pass line, the sixes and the eights can set you up for some long-term conservative playing that can net you conservative profits over losses.
